There are criteria that each of you should take into account when defining your needs:

• First of all, you need to decide where you're going to place your bollards. Personal to each resident or if you want to share them out across your campsite car parks. 
  • For your car park, we recommend that you use charging points with 2 charge points to optimise maintenance costs and space.
  • Of course, if you wish, you can install recharging points in your car parks, but also on camping pitches. 

Another factor to consider is the size of your site. The larger your campsite, the more sensible it will be to install more charging points on your site, to facilitate access to them for those who need them. 

As a campsite or establishment open to the public, your recharging points will need to accommodate as many people as possible.  

Charging stations by power output : 

• Slow charging (3.7 kW) : it recovers around 20 km/hour
  This type of charging may frustrate some customers, who will have to wait a long time before being able to collect their car. Especially as this type of charging is not suitable for 100 % electric vehicles. 
• Normal charging (7.4 kW) :  It can recover up to 50 km per hour. It occupies 90 % of households, because it has a decent charging time and is perfectly suited to overnight charging. 
• Accelerated charging (11 to 22 kW) : it allows you to recover up to 80 km/hour. Accelerated recharging means a smoother ride than with lower-power recharging stations.

For users who are likely to be recharging at night, we recommend that you opt for a charging point transmitting power of 7.4 or 11 kW. 

This power will enable you to make the most of parking and the charging point. The vehicle will take longer to charge, but it won't be parked in a charging bay unnecessarily. 

If you want to install charging points for each accommodation, we recommend charging points of no more than 7.4 kW.

You can request the installation of 22 kW charging points. However, they will have to be placed in strategic locations that allow good traffic flow.

When you buy a charging point, you need to allow for installation costs. These installation costs are higher than the price of the chargepoint. This cost varies according to a number of factors. For example, the distance between the charging point and its supply point. There are also potential trenches to be dug and electrical panels to be installed.

If you are installing several charging points in a small space, we recommend charging points with 2 charge points. In most cases, they will prove more cost-effective. They will enable you to make economies of scale in terms of the labour involved in installing the chargepoint, with civil engineering including the connection of electrical cables.

The bollard must be installed by a professional who has IRVE (Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles) if you want to qualify for support under the ADVENIR.

Installation costs include : 

• the price of the terminal which depends on a number of factors: number of stations, charging power (3.7 kW, 7.4 kW, 11 kW, 22 kW), 1 or 2 sockets, etc.
• the price of electrical installations : supplying the bollards with cables, installing a circuit breaker, creating an external cabinet, creating a cable duct on the wall, the number of metres of cable required, etc.
• The price of civil engineering The project will include: road markings, painting of all parking spaces, creation of an anchor base for bollard supports, asphalt trenches for cable routing or topsoil trenches for bollard supply, installation of bollard protection pins.

•  A new source of income : Charging points can represent a new source of income for your campsite. You can charge your customers, or users who are just passing through, for recharging. It's a good way of recouping the cost of your charging points relatively quickly. 

When you install charging points, they are referenced on several platforms so that they can be pointed out to electric vehicle drivers who need them! Here are the platforms we're talking about:

• Google Maps Google Maps is now a household name. The advantage is that anyone can add useful information. Google Maps can be used to locate restaurants, hotels, campsites, but above all to locate charging stations! You can even indicate that your establishment has recharging points!
• Booking.com : The accommodation and flight booking site allows users to filter establishments with recharging points! 
• Destination Charging from Tesla: Tesla lists all the charge points available to its users on a map.
• ChargeMap : Chargemap is an application like Google Maps, specially designed for users of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. It lists charging points all over Europe!

Please note: You will need to register your charging points yourself.

As mentioned above, you can acquire a new source of income by charging for your charging points. Some establishments offer recharging as a way of building customer loyalty, but a business model is entirely conceivable.

There are 3 options for billing top-ups:  

• Billing sessions on a time basis 
• Billing by kWh 

It's up to you to decide which option is best suited to your needs and those of your customers. 

Here are the advantages of the different packages: 

• Time-based billing allows you to discourage drivers from staying connected for too long. This is known as cars for sale. 
• Charging per kWh means that vehicles with a slower recharging capacity are not penalised.

Le supervision system will allow you to automate the charging billing system. It will allow you to send data back to automatically invoice users:

• recharge history, 
• consumption, 
• display the status of free or occupied terminals, 
• set prices and manage billing, 
• geolocation, etc. 

This system is not essential, but strongly recommended. Not forgetting that it is compulsory for obtaining the Advenir premium. You can process the rebilling manually. The Supervision system is subject to a monthly subscription.
