This motorisation will enable you to reach 600 km ofautonomy (according to the WLTP cycle) in a single refill! Enough to make long family journeys or make your daily journeys without having to worry about recharging your vehicle every two days. When it comes to recharging this Volvo EX90, it will be possible to reach 11 kW of recharging power by alternating current (AC). And also 250 kW of recharging power if you place yourself at a recharging point in direct current (DC). What's more, with DC recharging, you'll have the option of recharging your electric car from 10 % to 80 % in just 30 minutes.
On the other hand, this will be the first Volvo model to offer bi-directional chargingThis means you can power your home, electrical appliances or even another electric car.

Advanced technologies
From a technological point of view, Volvo Electric is going to surprise you with a real computer on wheels. To start with, there's a central touch screen like the Electric TeslaWith it, you'll be able to manage all your actions on the car. It measures 14.5 inches and offers you all the functions you need for your driving (information on your battery, range, speed, etc.), as well as all Google applications. With this, you can leave your concentration on the road and let your Google Assistant take care of the rest. This screen is also 5G compatible to download all applications you'll need and quickly calculate your navigation via Google Maps.
If you like listening to music, the Volvo EX90 offers you an audio system of Bowers & Wilkins, with Dolby Atmos technology. You'll also have the pleasure of having speakers in the headrests to immerse yourself in the music.
Have a digital key to open your car? Of course you do, use your smartphone to automatically unlock your electric car from the Volvo app.
Finally, enjoy cloth seats made from natural materials from responsible sources and a rear boot of 655 litres when there are 5 seats and a 37-litre frunk.
Safer driving than ever before
Although this electric vehicle is imposing with its 5.04 metres long and 1.96 metres wideIt has been designed to make your safety one of its top priorities. The safety system will analyse your environment and your daily driving to become increasingly intelligent thanks to all the data, but also thanks to regular updates.
What's more, cameras, radar and the LiDAR system will create a 360° vision in real time of everything that happens around you. They will detect every car, object or pedestrian close to you. Electric SUV day or night, even at high speed on the motorway. All its sensors are capable of extending their range to a few hundred metres.
Volvo has also made Pilot Assist available as an option at a cost of €2,400, to assist you when driving. In France, however, it is not possible to drive without hands. You'll also find sensors inside your vehicle that use algorithms to understand your level of concentration on the road and detect moments of distraction or drowsiness. It will warn you if you become distracted, with a more or less intense warning. If, however, you happen to fall asleep or feel unwell, the car will take matters into its own hands, stop safely and call for help.
It's not going to happen any time soon, but the Volvo EX90 is already equipped for unsupervised driving, meaning it can drive for you.
