Charging stations in Tours: extending the network of charging stations
The Tours metropolitan area currently has :
- 111 recharging points throughout the town
- 15 fast-charging stations (over 43 kW)
- 90 charging points compatible with the Chargemap Pass
- 16 free terminals
Notable installations include:
- A TotalEnergies station in Chambray-lès-Tours with 10 new recharging points
- An ENGIE Vianeo recharging zone with 8 points at 300 kW and 4 points at 22 kW
- A Powerdot station with 5 points at 100 kW, 1 point at 50 kW and 1 point at 22 kW
Despite these deployment efforts, the network of charging points remains insufficient to fully meet the growing demand from electric vehicle drivers in the city. The SIEIL aims to reach 1,500 charging points by the end of 2025 to improve coverage.

- The ADVENIR programme : This programme supports the installation of charging points, particularly in collective residences. For individual use, you can receive aid of 50 % of the installation cost, with a ceiling of €600 excluding VAT per charging point. If you live in a condominium, specific assistance is available for collective infrastructures, up to €5,000 excluding VAT for infrastructure and roadwork.
- Tax credit In addition to the ADVENIR programme, you can take advantage of a €500 tax credit for installing a controllable, connected charging point in your home. This tax credit, valid until 31 December 2025, applies to both primary and secondary residences, whether you own or rent. It corresponds to 75% of the expenditure incurred for the purchase and installation, up to a limit of €500 per charging point.
These two schemes can be combined, offering significant financial support for the installation of your charging point. Make sure the installation is carried out by an IRVE-qualified professional to benefit from these grants.
