Tesla was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers led by Elon Musk, who wanted to prove that it was possible to drive an electric vehicle without making compromises. Tesla believed that electric vehicles could be more efficient, faster and more fun to drive than conventional combustion vehicles. In July 2020, Tesla dethroned Toyota in terms of stock market valuation, yet Tesla sold 300 times fewer vehicles. What's even more astonishing is that Tesla only has 4 models in its catalogue, so the choice is limited. We'll have to wait for the Cybertruck pick-up, which is still being improved, the new Roadster, which is being prepared for the Nurburgring record in 2021, and probably a city car to complete the range, which will be mainly dedicated to the European market. How much does an electric Tesla cost?
The price of an electric Tesla can vary depending on the model chosen and the engine. In fact, Tesla offers three different powertrains for the Tesla Model 3 and Tesla Model YSo there you have it (Propulsion, Long Range and Performance).
If you choose a standard powertrain, the cars will range in price from €44,990 for the Model 3 to €121,990 for the Tesla Model X.
What are the future electric Tesla models?
Tesla has a number of releases planned for the coming years. We're still waiting for the release of the Tesla Cybertruck and the Tesla Roadster.
Tesla recently unveiled its latest model, which will be produced at a rate of 4 million units a year. The Tesla Model 2 is expected to be a scaled-down Tesla Model Y at a reduced price. The vehicle is expected to cost €25,000, and will fit into the the cheapest electric cars.
