ZE Ready - Definition
ZE Ready is a protocol set up by Renault (with Nissan and Mitsushibi). It is designed to ensure the consistent implementation of internationally accepted standards on the compatibility between electric vehicles and therecharging infrastructure.
What is the objective behind the ZE Ready standard?
By applying existing regulations and drawing on existing standards, ZE Ready aims to control the entire charging chain, from the design and installation of the charging point to the installation of training, preliminary audits, any compliance work and advice.
If you drive a Renault, for example, and the Wallbox that you have individually installed for your electric vehicle is not working properly, then it will not be checked. However, if you are guaranteed by ZE Ready, and the company has installed your charging infrastructure or Wallbox, then it is covered.
Schneider Electric, a multinational founded in 1836 under the name Schneider and Cie has been awarded Renault's ZE Ready certification for its EVlink range of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
