What support is there for buying an electric car as a private individual in 2024?

The government has announced a reduction in the amount of the environmental bonus for some French people, particularly households in the top five income deciles. As a result of this reduction, aid for the purchase of new electric cars has been cut from €5,000 to €4,000 for these taxpayers.

For less well-off households, however, the amount of assistance remains unchanged, with the bonus maintained at €7,000. It should be noted that the limit on reference tax income per unit, used as a criterion of distinction, has been adjusted, rising from €14,089 to €15,400.
