The EPZ arrives in September 2022
Since 2018, the Metropole of Aix-Marseille-Provence had been committed to setting up a ZFE-m. After postponing the project due to the health crisis, the metropolis has decided to implement the project in September 2022. In this 19.5 km² zone, polluting vehicles will not be allowed on the roads. Otherwise, motorists will be fined.
The ZFE will cover an area of 19.5 km², and will affect more than 314,000 inhabitants. Nevertheless, despite its size, the ZFE has the advantage of being very well served by parking lots and public transport.
The vehicles concerned are those with Crit'Air 5 stickers; by 2024, the other stickers will be required. Crit'Air 4, 3, 2 and 1 will be banned one after the other. This timetable is subject to change, however, in view of the shifts in dates caused by the health crisis.
Half-price parking
As mentioned above, priority is now given to clean vehicles, which is why the City of Marseille has introduced a 50% rebate on all subscription formulas for electric vehicles, so hybrid vehicles are not not vehicles are not covered by this benefit.

The "larecharge" network of public charging stations in Marseille and the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolitan Area
"la recharge" is an electric vehicle recharging network in Marseille and throughout the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area.
It currently comprises over 300 charging points, or 650 charging points, and will soon include 500. The Metropole plans to reach 1,000 charging points by 2030, and more if demand warrants.
