What does this Xiaomi electric car have in store for us?
The Group Xiaomi does not intend to change its core business, which is the manufacture of smartphones. It does, however, want to move into the automotive market, with the aim of diversifying the brand's business. In fact, Lei Jun's ambition is to become the new Tesla Chinese.

What will Xiaomi's future electric car look like?
As we mentioned earlier, the company plans to invest in the following areas 10 years, 10 billion dollars for this project.
As far as the technical specifications of the Xiaomi car are concerned, it will be in a electric saloonaccording to the latest news.
In terms of performance, the electric car will have a autonomy which could reach 440 kmwith a battery of 55 kWh. To recharge this electric vehicle, it will be possible to80 % load in 10 minthanks to the 400 V. For the Premium versions, Xiaomi cars will have a 800 V powerThis will enable them to charge quickly and achieve a range of 1,000 kilometres, which is quite a high figure for a first electric car. What's more, it's a good publicity stunt on Xiaomi's part, enough to make the world leader in electric cars sit up and take notice.
In relation to the price of the car, it will be offered at a lower price than its competitor Tesla the future car will be 21 000 €.
We can see that Xiaomi wants to compete with the Chinese giant in almost every possible way.
Innovations for this Xiaomi electric car?
Lei Jun goes even further when it comes to the technology he wants to incorporate into the electric car: the Xiaomi Pilota autonomous driving system. This system, which has already been demonstrated as a prototype, will operate under the LiDAR technology. This system could put pressure on its competitor Tesla with its Autopilot. One thing is certain: Xiaomi is not hiding its ambitions.
As far as the production and launch of electric cars are concerned, this is scheduled for 2024.

Car manufacturers are striving to electrify their car catalogues, in order to better meet the demands of many motorists.
