Châteauroux currently has :
- 36 public charging points throughout the country, including 18 fast-charging stations (rated at over 43 kW).
- 2 free terminals accessible in certain strategic locations.
- Most of the charging points are equipped with Type 2 sockets, with extended compatibility thanks to the Chargelec 36 network and the Chargemap Pass.
Despite this infrastructure, the number of charging points is still limited to keep pace with the steady increase in sales of electric vehicles (EVs). This tax credit, valid until 31 December 2025, applies to both primary and secondary residences, whether you own or rent. It corresponds to 75% of the expenditure incurred for the purchase and installation, up to a limit of €500 per charging point.
