The Nouvelle-Aquitaine region is establishing itself as a key player in the transition to electric mobility in France. At the beginning of 2025, there will be around 15,333 recharging points for electric vehicles in the region. electric vehiclesThis makes it the third best-equipped region in the country, behind Île-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.. These infrastructures, spread throughout the country, meet the needs of users in both urban and rural areas.
The region's commitment is reflected in the diversification of the types of charging points available. In the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, there are alternating current (AC) charging points for daily recharging, as well as fast or ultra-fast direct current (DC) charging points for longer journeys.. Local authorities and the region actively support these initiatives through subsidies and innovative projects, such as the Mobive network, which has more than 2,000 charge points spread over 11 départements..

In accordance with the decree of 12 January 2017 (no. 2017-26)Under the terms of the decree, it is compulsory to use an installer with probationary or definitive IRVE qualification. The decree also stipulates that the charging point must have a power rating of more than 3.7 kW. This means you can benefit from theADVENIR assistance.
If you're interested in the subject, there are specialised training courses for becoming an IRVE installer. To do so, turn to Qualifelec and AFNORTo find out more, read the list of organisations approved to issue IRVE certification. If you are a private individual wishing to install an electric vehicle charging point, you can take advantage of two complementary financial support schemes:
The ADVENIR programme :
This programme supports the installation of charging points, particularly in collective residences. For individual use, you can receive aid of 50 % of the installation cost, with a ceiling of €600 excluding VAT per charging point. If you live in a condominium, specific assistance is available for collective infrastructures, up to €5,000 excluding VAT for infrastructure and roadwork.
These two schemes can be combined, offering significant financial support for the installation of your charging point. Make sure the installation is carried out by an IRVE-qualified professional to benefit from these grants.
If you live in a detached house, charging stations are always installed by an experienced technician who has undergone IRVE (Infrastructure de Recharge pour Véhicules électriques) training.
As far as grants are concerned, detached houses are not eligible for the ADVENIR grant. However, you may be eligible for other grants, such as the rate of VAT reduced to 5.5 %. Enough to pay for the equipment and installation of low-cost terminals.
You can benefit from tax credit 75 % towards the cost of installing a home charging point. The credit is capped at €500 per charging point. It is open to individuals, professionals and local authorities, and applies to expenditure incurred between 1 January 2021 and 31 December 2025.
For professionals and businesses, the ADVENIR programme also offers interesting opportunities for installing charging points. For shared use, aid of 50 % is granted, with a ceiling of €1,660 excluding VAT per charging point. Companies can also claim a €500 tax credit for installing a connected charging point. It is important to note that the tax credit for the installation of a home or business charging point has been extended until 31 December 2025, allowing professionals to plan their investments with complete peace of mind while contributing to the energy transition.
