Regional aid
You can get up to €6,000 in aid for your electric car if you live in the Occitanie region. This regional aid is reserved for the purchase of electric vehicles.
Ecological bonus
The ecological bonus is changing! With changes scheduled for 1 January 2023, the ecological bonus will fall from €6,000 to €5,000. This bonus is deducted directly from the price of the vehicle by the leasing company or dealer.
Conversion premium
You can also take advantage of the conversion allowance of up to €5,000, depending on your household income. The conversion allowance is government aid for all French people to buy a new, less-polluting diesel, petrol, electric or rechargeable hybrid vehicle, whether second-hand or new.
For some time now, the Occitanie region has been stepping up its support to encourage people to think more ecologically and frugally. The region has introduced the "eco-housing cheque", a grant of between €1,000 and €1,500 for energy-saving work in the home. The one we're interested in now is the eco-mobility cheque. This aid, ranging from €50 to €2,000, serves as a bonus for individuals wishing to purchase an electric vehicle of any kind. The President of the Occitanie region has said: "The region's priority is to improve the purchasing power of the people of Occitanie, and to help them achieve better mobility.
So, since 2019, you can benefit from aid on the purchase of an electric vehicle of up to €2,000. However, this aid only applies to used electric vehicles. You can also benefit from €100 aid towards the purchase of an electric vehicle or bicycle, as well as €50 aid towards the purchase of safety equipment. The region's ambition is to become the first positive-energy region in Europe.
What are the conditions for receiving regional aid from Occitanie?
Unlike the regional grants available in Bouches-du-Rhône, for example, the assistance provided by the Occitanie region is means-tested.
Conditions concerning the applicant :
- Must be domiciled in Occitanie
- You have not already received assistance
- They undertake not to resell their vehicle within 12 months of purchasing it.
- Proof of reference tax income per unit less than or equal to that corresponding to the 1st income tax bracket (source : Laregion.fr)
Conditions relating to the car :
- CO2 emissions of no more than 20 g/km for an electric car
- Have been bought second-hand
- Not have been the subject of acquisition aid relating to the scheme set up
- Be registered in France

- The seller must be a car sales professional operating in the Occitan region.

The documents you need to apply for a credit or a LOA/LLD for your electric car:
- A copy of your last three payslips. If you are retired or self-employed, you will be asked for your last one or two tax notices.
- A copy of your identity document, either a National Identity Card or a valid passport.
- Proof of address less than 3 months old. This could be a gas, electricity or telephone bill (even a mobile phone bill), a rent receipt or a property deed.
A bank details form (RIB). - A signed and completed cheque for the first instalment of your rental schedule. Payment of the first instalment will only be made on receipt of the vehicle.

How do you calculate your debt ratio?
The debt ratio must not exceed 33% of net household income. In other words, a banker or banking institution will only accept your application if you can prove that your fixed costs do not exceed 33% of your net income.
