The 2023 eco-bonus applies to families with a reference tax income of less than €14,090. It amounts to €7,000. For households with a higher taxable income, the amount of the eco-bonus will be €5,000.

Fiat 500e

The Fiat 500e is a small hatchback made in Italy, near Turin, which so you can sneak in anywhere. This car, in its electric saloonoffers you two versions of battery. This Fiat electric is a three-door saloon. It offers a maximum power output of 70 kW, equivalent to 95 bhp. If you're using this electric car as a city car, your autonomy will be approximately 255 km. If you drive in semi-rural areas, your range will be 190 km.

As far as recharge time is concerned, by recharging it via a charging point on alternating current (11 kW), it will take you 2 hours and 30 minutes to get a full battery. If you connect to a DC (50 kW) charging point, you will need 24 minutes to recharge your battery from 10 % to 80 %.

The current list price is €29,400. For the version with a 42 kWh battery, the list price is €32,900. So you're still perfectly within the criteria for the 2023 environmental bonus!

Peugeot e-208

Increasingly built in Spain, the Peugeot e-208 is considered to be one of the 'new generation' of electric cars. The model bears a strong resemblance to a combustion engine car, but the manufacturer Peugeot electric has based this car on the e-CMP platform, allowing the vehicle to be adapted to 100 % electric.

Under the bonnet is a 50 kWh battery and a 100 kW electric motor (equivalent to 136 bhp). A electric city car which will give you plenty of power especially if you switch your driving mode to sport. Its range will be 362 km in mixed driving in good weather conditions.

Let's talk about its recharge time. On 7.4 kW alternating current, you'll need to wait 7 hours and 15 minutes to fully recharge your battery from 0 %. On direct current, the recharging time will be 26 minutes to go from 10 % to 80 %.

About the price, this electric car is priced at €32,600outside environmental bonus. How can you turn down a high-performance, sporty car at that price?

Renault Megane e-Tech

Let's move on to one of Renault's iconic cars, but in its electric version, the Renault Megane e-Tech. With the renewed impetus that the french car marketthe Renault Megane e-Tech tops the sales charts for two consecutive months (July and August) with a total of 3,500 cars registered over these two months. For the manufacture of this electric Renault, the manufacturer has decided to base production at its Douai plantin the north of France.

Just like the Fiat 500, Renault electric offers two battery options, a 40 kWh battery called the Renault Megane e-Tech EV40 and a 60 kWh battery called the Renault Megane e-Tech EV60. The EV40 is powered by a 160 kW (220 hp) electric motor. This engine will give you an average range of 470 km on a full battery.

Speaking of the battery, it takes 3 hours 15 minutes to recharge at an AC charging point. To recharge your battery from 10 % to 80 %, in just 30 minutesyou need to connect to a charging point 129 kW of direct current power.

About its list price, it is listed at €37,200excluding environmental bonus.

Opel Corsa-e

Let's move on to a German electric car, theOpel Corsa-e, the first electric car "made in Europe. It is part of the production line at the PSA plant in Zaragoza, Spain. This electric car has a very horizontal design both at the front and on the sides, giving you a fairly elegant, sober design. For your driving, Opel electric gives you a choice of three modes:

  • Normal
  • Sport

As part of the PSA Group, this Opel Corsa-e is a very close cousin of the Peugeot e-208 which we mentioned earlier, and has the same powertrain. It has a 50 kWh battery and a 100 kW electric motor (equivalent to 136 bhp). As for its range, it's 337 km if you're doing semi-rural driving in good weather conditions. In town, you can reach an average of 430 km. You should be aware that an electric car loses some of its range in the cold, although there are some tips to improve it in winter.

Then it's time to recharge our car. On a recharging point (AC) with a power rating of 7.4 kW, allow 7 hours and 15 minutes for a full charge. For recharging at a 101 kW (DC) charging point, allow 26 minutes for a recharge from 10 % to 80 %.

Always at an affordable price, the list price for this electric car is €34,400However, you can deduct €7,000 thanks to the environmental bonus 2023 !

Cupra Born

La Cupra Bornthe very first electric car from the Cupra brand, is manufactured in Germany at the Zwickau alongside compact electric, Volkswagen ID.3. It adopts a sporty, aggressive look with attractive curves. It has been designed to match 100 % an electric car and optimise interior space, particularly with its very short bonnet. It also features two dashboards, including an infotainment system.

In terms of its powertrain, the Cupra Born is equipped with a 58 kWh battery and a 150 kW motor, equivalent to 204 bhp. Make the most of its long range, covering almost 426 km on a fully charged battery. You can even the possibility of extending this range to 580 km if you drive in townat medium temperature. There are different versions of this Cupra electric which will allow you to increase your battery capacity, your engine power and therefore your range

What about recharging? For an accelerated charge, i.e. at an AC charging point, it will take 6 hours and 15 minutes at a power of 11 kW for your battery to be fully charged. With a rapid charge on a DC current of 120 kW, it will take 30 minutes to recharge from 10 % to 80 %.

Currently without the 2023 environmental bonus, this electric car has a list price of €44,500. The model with a 77 kWh battery is priced at €46,500. So you can enjoy the benefits of a larger battery and still meet the criteria by staying under the €47,000 mark.

Volvo XC40 Charging

Let's discuss this magnificent Electric SUV which is a real guarantee of quality, but at a reasonable price. Volvo Electric decided to build the Volvo XC40 Charging at one of its factories in Ghent, Belgium. If you're looking for a small SUV, this one will fit the bill perfectly. Although it is a compact SUV, it still offers good interior space and will be very easy to handle. Volvo has announced a new design for 2023 that will change only a few details and features a new sage green colour that is sumptuous. Inside, the seats are made of fabric and the lower part of the vehicle is lined with recycled materials. Volvo promotes responsible luxury and makes its SUV even greener.

The Pure Electric version has a 68 kWh battery and the Twin Pure Electric version has a 75 kWh battery. For its entry-level version, Volvo is offering a 170 kW engine, equivalent to 231 hp. Range is more than satisfactory, an average of 425 kmThis will enable you to travel with peace of mind without worrying too much about finding charge points frequently.

One of the most important things to bear in mind is the recharging time. This electric SUV needs 7 hours and 15 minutes to be recharged to 100 %, on an AC charging point, with a power of 11 kW. On a DC charging point, it will need just 31 minutes to be recharged from 10 % to 80 %, with a charging power of 133 kW.

Once again, the price will not exceed €47,000. The Volvo XC40 Recharge Pure Electric is priced at €43,950 (list price). So you can afford this electric car for 36,950 after deduction of the 2023 environmental bonus. You may also be eligible for other grants or subsidies depending on your region.

Kangoo van e-tech

A small bonus for this presentation of several cars under the price of €47,000, the Kangoo Van e-Tech. Perfect if you need to transport equipment in your daily life, the Kangoo is one of the most iconic vehicles in the world. electric vans and is now available in a 100 % electric version. Sound list price is €33,600 with no 2023 environmental bonus of €4,000 deducted.
