Definition - Zero emission
Emits no pollutants.
The “zero emission” principle encompasses all vehicles that emit zero levels of polluting gases. Electric cars are zero emission vehicles.
Zero net emissions
Le term Net zero emissions means that all greenhouse gas emissions produced by human activity must be removed from the atmosphere using abatement measures in order to achieve the Earth's net climate balance, i.e. after deduction of natural and artificial CO₂ reductions.

The 2050s should mark the beginning for some countries in achieving this objective.
