What subsidies are available for companies?

This is a pivotal year for businesses and electric mobility. Legislation is evolving, offering unprecedented opportunities. Here's an overview of current subsidies.

The ecological bonus for professionals

Since 12 February 2024, according to decree no. 2024-102, the ecological bonus for the purchase of electric private cars by companies has been abolished.

The conversion premium for professionals

  • Who is it for? French companies.
  • What are we doing? Replacing old diesel or petrol vehicles with new electric ones.

How much can you get? Up to €2,500, plus €1,000 in EPZ (low-emission zones).

Tax exemptions

Support for the installation of charging points

In 2024, businesses in France will benefit from a number of attractive incentives for installing charging points for their electric vehicles. These grants encourage an environmentally-friendly energy shift.

For a start, the government has increased the tax credit for installing these charging points. Companies can now obtain a sum that considerably reduces costs.

Secondly, VAT on these installations remains at a very attractive rate. This means that installation will cost less, which is good news for businesses.

Le ADVENIR programme is another major asset. With an impressive budget of 320 million euros, it helps finance the installation of charging points for individual solutions in apartment blocks.

Some local authorities also offer their own subsidies. It depends on the region, but it's worth asking around for extra savings.

Finally, for businesses, ADVENIR finances part of the cost of installing charging points, with grants of up to €1,000 for car parks accessible to the public.

Below is a more detailed table of current grants for the installation of charging points:

Lieu Taux de participation Montant max de l'aide par point de charge Montant max de l'aide par point de charge (pilotage énergétique)

1,360 EXCLUDING VAT
Private car parks open to the public

1 500 €
1,860 EXCL.

What are the tax benefits?

This year, companies are going to see major changes in the way they are taxed for their vehicles, especially if they choose electric cars. In a way, it's as if the state is offering discounts to encourage the purchase of environmentally-friendly cars.

Firstly, these electric cars are not taxed by the government. This is a great opportunity, especially if you're thinking of buying a brand new car or even a second-hand one.

Then, the specificity of counting the costs of these cars over the long term is to divide the cost into small parts over several years. And if the batteryYou can also divide the cost between the two. This allows you to spend less over time. When a company recharges its electric cars, it can reclaim the tax on that electricity.

For annual taxes on cars (company car tax, vehicle registration document), which companies pay every year. If they own electric cars, they won't have to pay them.
