Volkswagen listens to its customers
The electric compact went on sale in Europe in 2019 as the first of the new generation of cars with battery MEB from Volkswagen. It now benefits from a much-improved interior and is taking its revenge after being criticised for the fact that the model's cabin seemed " cheap and uninspired" . In proposing its reworked version, the development team took into account a series of suggestions made by drivers to improve the product and the electric car as a whole.
For the ID.3 facelift, Volkswagen has decided to bank on a completely revamped designIt's the brand that knows how to do it so well. The design has been completely revised and the materials used inside have been improved and brought up to date. The exterior of the ID3 benefits from a minor upgrade. Worth noting all the same, the bonnet is significantly longer and features two distinctive contours familiar from its thermal cousin, the Golf, instead of the previously smooth surface. Customer needs have become a priority for the brand in order to offer them the most suitable product.

What's more, the standard equipment has been upgraded to include a larger screen with a size of 12 inches (30.5 centimetres)A removable boot floor and a centre console with two cupholders.
In terms of technology and gadgets, the Plug & Charge and the intelligent route planner for electric vehicles makes the charging experience even simpler and more convenient than on the Volkswagen ID.3 first generation. The Bavarian brand uses state-of-the-art assistance systems that are fully integrated into the vehicle. These include Travel Assist with Swarm Data only available as an option, as well as the Park Assist Plus with memory function. Good news for future customers! Extras on the first-generation Volkswagen ID.3 such as the removable luggage shelf in the boot and a centre console with cup holders will now be standard equipment on this upgraded model.

The current situation is complicating deliveries
The current supply situation and the existing high order backlog will lead to delays in the delivery of electric vehicles. In fact, the German brand estimates that the ID.3 Pro Life, Business, Style and Max models, as well as the ID.3 Pro S Tour model, will not be delivered to customers. before the fourth quarter of 2023.
Production of the enhanced version of the ID.3 will, of course, have started by then. This means that the vehicle delivered will not be the one indicated by the configurator or on the contract when the customer places the order; instead, customers will receive the improved ID.3 model. The vehicle may differ from the initial order, but this will be to the customer's advantage. For example, the steering wheels were previously trimmed in leather, which will be replaced by a higher quality leather substitute.
