There is a wide range of grants available to help you buy a new car. electric car by 2025. Even though electric vehicles are becoming increasingly affordable, they are still more expensive than their internal combustion equivalents. But don't panic! Thanks to the many forms of assistance available to you, the bill can be substantially reduced.
The ecological bonus is changing! From 2 December 2024, the ecological bonus will be 2,000 or €3,000 depending on your reference tax income per unitand 4,000 for the most modest families. This bonus is deducted directly from the purchase price of an electric car at the leasing company or dealer.
However, the ecological bonus for professionals has not been available since February 2024, and the same applies to electric commercial vehicles from €3,000 to €0.
The conversion premium was a government subsidy available to all French people for the purchase of an electric or hybrid car that pollutes less than diesel or petrol, whether used or new.
However, due to government budgetary constraints, this aid has been withdrawn from the financial programming for 2025.

It all depends on the subsidies. The ecological bonus and the conversion premium are deducted directly from the purchase price of your electric car. Some regional grants are linked directly to the purchase order and are reimbursed once the purchase has been made. However, you may need to take the necessary steps before ordering the vehicle.
To qualify for aid towards the purchase of an electric vehicle, you must be a natural person of legal age with a place of residence in France, or a legal entity with a place of business in France.

La conversion premium is a government scheme available to anyone in France who wants to buy a less-polluting vehicle, whether new or second-hand.
You can benefit from a conversion premium of up to €6,000, depending on your household income.

What's more, while the eco-bonus was due to end on 30 June 2022, it has been extended until 31 December 2022. What's more, the ecological bonus will be reduced from 1 January 2023.
