To combat pollution in the Paris Region, the region is subsidising the purchase of electric cars and retrofits (converting a combustion engine car into an electric car). This means that small businesses in the Paris region can get help with the purchase of an electric car. clean vehicle.

Who can benefit from Île-de-France regional aid?
The 2024 Île-de-France regional grant for the purchase of electric cars is aimed at :
- to individuals living in the Greater Paris region (excluding municipalities in the Greater Paris metropolitan area),
- companies headquartered in the Paris region (maximum 50 employees),
- to municipalities in the Ile-de-France region with less than 10,000 inhabitants.
What are the conditions?
The purchase price of the electric car must not exceed €47,000 inc. VAT (including options), after trade discounts and before deduction of government grants. In addition, it must be assembled in a European Union country where less than 110g of CO2 are emitted to produce 1 kWh of electricity.
What is the amount of regional aid?
The amount of aid varies according to the beneficiary's tax reference income per unit:
- 2 250 € for annual income in excess of €30,508,
- 4 500 € for an annual income of between €14,090 and €30,508,
- 7 500 € for an annual income of between €6,359 and €14,089,
- 9 000 € for an annual income of €6,358 or less.
Different conditions apply to companies and local authorities:
- 1 500 € for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers and quadricycles
- 6 000 € for electric cars and vans weighing less than 3.5 tonnes.
- 9 000 € for electric lorries and road tractors over 3.5 T.
Professionals wishing to set up a commercial or craft business can benefit from €15,000 in regional aid, provided they have no more than 10 employees and annual sales do not exceed €2,000,000.
Note that this aid can be combined with all other public assistance, such as the environmental bonus or the conversion premium. However, all the aid received must not exceed 50 % of the price of the electric vehicle (increased to 80 % for the highest levels of aid).
Retrofit assistance
The Ile de France Region also offers assistance to help you transform your thermal vehicle into a clean vehicle. Private individuals, companies with fewer than 50 employees and local authorities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants can benefit, provided the retrofit is carried out by an approved professional. The vehicle in question must have been owned by the beneficiary for at least one year prior to applying for the aid. The amount of aid is :
- 500 € for two- and three-wheel motor vehicles
- 3 000 € for four-wheel motor vehicles.

- Assistance can only be requested once per household
- Hand in your old vehicle for destruction no later than 6 months after the invoice date of the purchased or leased vehicle, to an approved end-of-life vehicle processing centre

The Occitanie region's "Eco-Mobility Cheque" scheme
The Occitanie region is offering aid for purchasers of new electric vehicles (purchase or LOA/LLD lease) ordered from 1ᵉʳ July 2023 in the Occitanie region.
The amount of assistance depends on the household's tax situation:
- 30 % of the acquisition cost, capped at €1,000 if the household is taxable
- 30 % of the acquisition cost, capped at €2,000 if the household is not taxable
This aid can be combined with the conversion allowance, which can save you up to €2,500 (or even €5,000 if your household is not taxable). All in all, when you combine all these forms of assistance, you can save up to €10,500.
Example: I want to buy a used electric car for €15,000. I'm scrapping my 2006 diesel car and I'm not taxable. The cost of my vehicle will be : 15 000 € - 2 000 € - 5 000 € = 8 000 €. That's a saving of 53 %.
Please note that this assistance is only available for second-hand vehicles purchased from a professional seller in the Occitanie region, with a value of up to €30,000 including tax.
What documents are required to qualify?
- Proof of residence in Occitanie (council tax, property tax, energy tax, etc.)
- Proof of applicant's identity
- Applicant's payment details
- Copy of the applicant's tax assessment
- Vehicle registration document showing date of first registration (copy)
- Proof of purchase of the vehicle

What are the conditions for accessing aid?
To qualify for aid, applicants must :
- must live in the Occitanie region,
- must have a reference tax income per unit of less than or equal to €22,983 and a household reference tax income of less than or equal to €60,000,
- must not already have received assistance from the Region under the "Eco-cheque" scheme

- have been purchased or leased new (for a minimum of 36 months),
- have been ordered on or after 1ᵉʳ July 2023,

- have an acquisition value of no more than €47,000 including tax,
- be registered for the first time.

As part of the policy to reduce CO2 emissions in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, five of the region's communes are receiving aid to help them switch to electric cars. If you live in one of the following communes, you may be eligible for assistance from the region: Pays Rochois, Cluses, Arve et Montagnes, Vallée de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Faucigny-Glières, Pays Mont-Blanc.
Please note that only SMEs and VSEs, independent retailers and the self-employed are eligible for assistance, local authoritiespublic institutions, companies and associations in the region
The amount of aid depends on the vehicle purchased by the applicant and the applicant's GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating).
- In the case of a GVW<2.5 T, the region's support for the purchase of an electric vehicle amounts to 3 000 €.
- In the case of a 2.5t the regional grant for the purchase of an electric vehicle is €5,000.

Please note that this aid comes with obligations. Beneficiaries, whatever their status, undertake to :
- affix a sticker issued by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region to vehicles receiving regional aid
- mention the aid received & if the vehicle is resold within 4 years, return the aid received.
