Your customers will certainly be delighted to have an extra recharging space, allowing them to save money. autonomy during their travels.

Time... is money!

Even if you only own a professional vehicle, such as a electric van For example, having a recharging point installed on site can save you precious time and improve your productivity. You'll no longer have to plan your journeys around the public charging points available nearby. VSEs and SMEs with a fleet of electric vehicles have every interest in offering a suitable recharging method to avoid any risk of their employees being immobilised.

Charging point for businesses: what budget should you expect?

The price of an IRVE for an entrepreneur or small business depends on a number of criteria, such as the number of bollards to be installed, their power, the functionalities and associated services (monthly supervision, annual maintenance). The technical specifics of the installation, such as the configuration of the site and the distance between the location of the bollard and the electrical panel, also influence the final price. On average, it costs between €1,500 and €6,000 to install a charging pointincluding installation.

Alternatively, it is also possible to use the hire of recharging points for any project over €5,000. Beev offers formulas to suit your budget, over 36 or 60 months, with or without an increased first rent.

Rental of recharging points for professionals

A system that quickly pays for itself

Investment in an IRVE makes all the more sense in the context of the forthcoming ban on the deduction of business expenses relating to company vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. This will apply to all fossil-fuelled vehicles purchased by a company after 2026.

On the other hand, nothing prevents a company from making its charging points available to the public, in return for a financial contribution. In this context, paid recharging enables the equipment acquired to pay for itself more quickly, thanks to the return on investment.

Good to know: The terminal monitoring system automatically obtains consumption data to simplify billing, regardless of the business model chosen.

Beev offers you turnkey solutions for calculating consumption and/or facilitating top-ups for your staff and visitors. Find out more about the supervision service and the advantages of the Beev reload card!

Assistance and tax exemption schemes

For a number of years now, the government has been supporting eco-mobility for businesses through a range of schemes designed to speed up the roll-out of charging points for electric vehicles, including financial aid, reduced VAT and tax credits. However, the conditions under which grants are awarded and their amounts are likely to change depending on the regulations: 2023 will see the end of or changes to certain grants.

The ADVENIR programme for businesses

It is based on a number of financial aids subject to variable scales and ceilings, depending on the uses and target groups concerned.

The programme Charging point for fleets and employees

This bonus ended on 1er January 2023It was aimed at companies wishing to install recharging points in their private car parks, dedicated to recharging their fleets and made available to their employees. However, it is still valid for certain categories of companies specialising in automotive services, such as vehicle rental companies (short-term hire).

In this context, the programme has been renamed Charging point for fleets and employees of automotive service professionals. It covers the deployment of recharging points for the company fleet, but also for use by employees. It provides a grant of 25 % (supply and installation), capped at €750 excluding VAT per recharging point.

The programme Charging point open to the public in a private car park

The aid will continue in 2023 for companies that have a private car park accessible to the general public (visitors, customers, etc.).

Please note: from 1 February 2023, the amount of the subsidy has been reduced from 50 % to 30 % of the price of the installation excluding VAT. Aid is capped at €1,000 for an AC (alternating current) supply, all power ratings combined, and €2,700 excluding VAT for an AC (alternating current) supply, all power ratings combined. DC (direct current)all powers combined. What's more, this subsidy and that addressed to the intermediate target will end on 1 August 2023. If you would like to take advantage of this service before it is discontinued, please contact us.

Good to know: depending on the situation of the company making the request, it is possible to choose the highest premium. For example automotive service professionals that have a private car park open to the public can receive a subsidy of 50 % of the supply and installation costs, instead of 25 % under the "fleet and employees" programme. The aid ceiling varies between €1,700 excluding VAT and €15,000 excluding VAT. The ADVENIR premium can be combined with existing regional subsidy programmes, where applicable.

Benefits in kind and recharging points: the scheme has been extended until the end of 2024!

The fringe benefits (AEN) are goods or services granted free of charge or for a small fee to employees. Since 2019, the benefit in kind arising from the free use of charging points made available to employees by a company has been subject to a preferential regimesince it is considered to be nil. Initially due to expire on 31 December 2022, this advantageous scheme for employees has been extended until 31 December 2024. The decree of 26 December 2022 sets out separate exemption conditions for two situations: installation of the charging point at the employee's home or access to the charging points deployed on the company's site. In all cases, renewing the NEAs for the installation of an IRVE can significantly improve your company's attractiveness and increase employee loyalty. It's a great way to contribute to the energy transition, while encouraging your employees to go electric!

Regional subsidies

Some regions offer aid to finance recharging points for entrepreneurs and very small businesses. The aim of the local authority grants is to encourage the deployment of green mobility throughout the region. For the moment, they are limited to the Grand Est, Normandy and Occitanie regions.

Support programme forinstallation of recharging points for businesses du Grand Est

La Grand Est region will cover up to 50 % of the cost of the chargepoint and its installation, up to a maximum of €1,000 per chargepoint. The eligible companies are :

  • Companies registered with the Registre du Commerce et des Sociétés (RCS) in areas with a population of less than 100,000, which put their recharging infrastructure available to their employees and/or to the public.
  • Establishments in the tourism sector (hotels, restaurants, etc.) that make their recharging infrastructure available to their customers.
  • Associations.

Normandy region's "Sustainable Mobility" programme

La Normandy region is offering financial assistance for electric vehicle charging points for VSEs/SMEs or ETIs (Intermediate-Sized Companies) with fewer than 5,000 employees. The grant covers supply and installation costs up to a maximum of 50 % excluding VAT. The maximum grant is €25,000.

The Occitanie region's "Flexitanie" programme

Launched in 2020 in partnership with ADEME and EDF, theThe Occitanie region's ambitious eco-mobility programme is offering financial support to businesses and self-employed people wishing to install intelligent V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) charging stations. Aid is capped at €3,000 per charging point, and is limited to the 50 ready-to-install charging points currently available in the region. The programme has been renewed for 2023 with 100 V1G charging points, subject to the same eligibility conditions.

Self-employed professionals and tradespeople: other alternatives to reduce your investment

You don't meet the criteria for the ADVENIR subsidy programme or regional aid?

Do you own just one electric company vehicle for personal and/or professional use?

You can take advantage of tax credits for installing a home charging point as a private individual. The CIBRE (recharging point tax credit) has been extended until 2025, allowing you to benefit from a tax credit equivalent to 75 % of the cost ofinstallation of a home terminalup to a maximum of €300. If you prefer to apply as a professional, you will not benefit from the CIBRE. However, you will be able to reclaim the VAT.

The conditions of eligibility are as follows:

  • Installation is limited to one charge point per home.
  • You must be resident in France for tax purposes.
  • You can be the owner, tenant or free occupant of your home (main or second home).

While businesses are not eligible for the reduced rate of VAT for the installation of an on-site charging point, private individuals are. The reduced VAT rate of 5.5 % applies to tenants, owners or free occupants of a principal residence (detached house or flat in a condominium). The good news is that in 2023 the VAT reduction will no longer apply only to homes that have been completed more than two years previously. It applies to all homes !

Good to know: to benefit from the reduced VAT rate of 5.5 %, the installation of your charging point must be carried out by a IRVE approved electrician.
