Would you like to install a charging station?

The market for charging stations in Haut-de-France

To meet the strong demand for electric vehicles in France, the Hauts-de-France region is gradually increasing the number of charging points. While the government's objective is to reach 100,000 charging points open to the public in 2022, the latest Statistabarometer has counted 82,107 charging points in France in 2022. This figure falls short of the target, but shows a major acceleration in the installation of recharging points.

For the Hauts-de-France region, Avere-France found 4,884 charging points for over 5 million inhabitants in March 2022. This represents a low figure for a large number of users to recharge their electric cars. To counter this figure, the region is continuing to set up charging stations. Let's see how things are going in Lille.

The deployment of charging stations in Lille

While demand for charging stations continues to grow, the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) is committed to the energy transition by speeding up the installation of charging stations.

Moreover, within the next 4 years, the metropolis aims to "increase the number of charging points currently available in the area from 400 to over 4,000", according to Damien Castelain, President of MEL.

To achieve this objective, a Territorial Climate Air Energy Plan has been drawn up. This plan presents a program of actions from 2021 to 2026. Many actions are underway, but as far as charging stations are concerned, the metropolis has installed 50 charging stations in municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants.

What's more, so that everyone can have access to the charging stations, whatever their make brand of your electric caryou'll be able to recharge your vehicle with ease.

To choose your installer, there are virtually no criteria other than IRVE ! In fact, your choice should be based on the installer's technical expertise. That's what IRVE certification is for! It guarantees that the installer has been trained and approved by the government to install a charge point. Not to mention that IRVE certification is mandatory if you are eligible for the ADVENIR and wish to join the program.

Beev can install your charging stations and access the ADVENIR program at the same time! Yes, our installers are IRVE-certified.

As mentioned above, you can recharge your electric vehicle free of charge in dedicated parking spaces. In this case, you won't need a badge or card to gain access.

You can also recharge your electric vehicle with charging stations provided by the MEL (Métropole Européenne de Lille), which has 50 charging stations. These terminals are accessible with the pass pass Électriquea recharging service that operates throughout the Hauts-de-France region.

There are two ways to recharge with these terminals:

1ʳᵉ possibility :

Become a service subscriber by creating a customer account on the pass pass Électrique website. With your customer area, you can :

  • Access your consumption
  • View your monthly invoices
  • Manage load start and stop with the pass pass card

Option 2:

If you are an occasional user, you can register via the mobile application pass pass VE. With this application, you can :

  • Find nearby terminals
  • Find out about recharging point prices
  • Starting and stopping your vehicle's charge
  • View consumption history

If you choose to charge your charging stations with the Electric Pass subscription service, rates will vary depending on the charging period and your status, whether or not you have subscribed to the charging service:

Night rate (between 9pm and 7am)

or €0.45 for 1 hour

Please note: As billing is based on charging time, remember to disconnect your car as soon as it has finished charging, to avoid high charges. Billing applies to any charging station used.

You can recharge your electric car at any time. However, as shown in the table above, we recommend that you recharge your electric vehicle during off-peak periodbetween 9pm and 7am. At this time, electricity use and charging costs are lower.

You can take advantage of this off-peak period to fully recharge your vehicle at low cost.

Whether for private individuals or professionals, the installation of charging stations is carried out by electricians with the IRVE (Infrastructure de Recharge pour Véhicules Électriques) qualification. This qualification certifies that the installer is an expert in the field and applies standard NF C 15-100 standard to IRVE devices.

Calling in a qualified electrician will ensure that your installation complies with safety regulations, so that you can recharge without risk and in the best possible conditions.

In fact, at Beev, we have IRVE installers of the highest quality who can carry out your project. If you're looking for an installer, don't hesitate to contact us.

When you buy an electric vehicle, you can install a charging station in a condominium or single-family home.

To install an electrical terminal, the steps will differ depending on your situation:

  • 1st case: if you own the property, you must send your property manager a registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. Here's an example example. Once your letter has been received by the syndicate, they will have 6 months to respond to your request. Once this period has elapsed, you will be authorized to start the work. To help you budget for the work, we recommend that you ask for estimates in advance.
  • 2nd case: if you are a tenant, you will need to request your landlord's agreement by letter with acknowledgement of receipt. In this letter, you'll need to describe your project in detail, including a diagram. Two copies of this description should be sent to the syndicate.

After receiving your letter, the owner will have one month to submit your request to the syndic. Once your request has been approved, you can start the work, at your own expense.

You should also know that this tax credit does not take your income into account, and that this subsidy is determined per tax household and per load point.

You can apply directly online.

⚠️ Good to know: this tax credit is valid only if the charging station is purchased before December 31, 2025.

The amount of the tax credit for the installation of an electric vehicle charging station is :
