However, installation requires the intervention of an IRVE professional to ensure optimal operation.

Circontrol eNext S

Unlike Wallbox, the market leader, Circontrol has not sought to design electric recharging points with revolutionary technologies.

Instead, the brand has focused on the robustness and long-term performance of its charging points, with the majority of models retaining the essential functions of an electric charging point.

Why should companies roll out their electric fleets?

Installing charging points for electric vehicles is beneficial for both companies and their employees.

Fleets of vehicles are essential for many companies in different fields, such as courier services, technical assistance and goods delivery. Recharging these electric vehicles needs to be efficient and simple, so that the various users can make their journeys smoothly and cost-effectively.

What's more, by installing charging points, companies are encouraging their employees to opt for electric or rechargeable hybrid vehicles, thereby contributing to more sustainable and environmentally-friendly mobility. Installing charging stations in the workplace or at employees' homes gives them greater convenience, allowing them to recharge their vehicles during working hours and avoiding the inconvenience of searching for public charging stations.

Installing charging points will also enable companies to enhance their image and demonstrate their commitment to the ecological transition and the well-being of their employees, thereby strengthening their corporate social responsibility (CSR).

It's important to stress that buying an electric car saves you money compared with a combustion car. Recharging an electric vehicle costs considerably less (from around €2/100 km) than filling up with petrol (from around €7/100 km). What's more, maintenance costs are also lower. On average, an electric car will cost €800 a year to maintain, compared with €1,000 a year for a gas-powered car. thermal vehicleIf you're looking to buy a new car, you'll need to spend €1,000 a year.

The advantages of deploying your vehicle fleet environment-friendly

In short, here are all the notable advantages you need to deploy your electric fleet in business:

  • Meeting growing needs

To develop recharging points and easily upgrade recharging solutions if there is more than one vehicle in the future.

  • A cost-effective solution

Improve profitability with multiple recharging, minimising initial investment and maintenance costs when several electric vehicles need to be recharged.

  • Dynamic load management

Avoid power cuts caused by overloading or the need to increase the subscribed power. The energy allocated to vehicle charging will be dynamically adjusted according to the consumption of the rest of the installations.

  • Cloud-based monitoring

Monitor your chargers and their performance. You'll have control over the different profiles that use them (employees, visitors, company fleet, etc.) and their consumption in case you want to bill them in the future.

  • Efficient parking

Improve the experience of your employees and visitors by offering them advice and directions to parking spaces reserved for electric vehicles in your company car park.

If you don't yet have a charging point at home or at work, don't hesitate to contact us. Our experts will be delighted to help you with your project, and to draw up a detailed plan. personalised quote.

What does the LOM law say?

The report on the 2019 LOM law (Loi d'orientation des mobilités) starts with an observation: the government has indicated that we are dealing with a transport policy that is no longer in harmony with global measures and challenges, and that no longer corresponds to the needs and expectations of citizens. As a result, there are two problems to be solved:

  • the lack of public transport in many areas, which means that cars are used by individuals
  • environmental and climate emergencies (pollution caused by transport) are among the problems to be resolved.

In other words, the LOM law has radically transformed mobility policy, with the aim of making everyday transport easier, cheaper and cleaner. That said, companies are obliged to install recharging solutions for their employees.

The companies affected by this law are those with more than 50 employees and a fleet of more than 100 vehicles (with a total weight of less than 3.5 tonnes).

Article A26 of the LOM provides for the acquisition of low-emission vehicles (greenhouse gas emissions of less than 60 g/km):

  • 20 % of this renewal from 1ᵉʳ January 2024
  • 35 % of this renewal from 1ᵉʳ January 2027
  • 50 % of this renewal from 1ᵉʳ January 2030

In addition to this renewal of the electric fleet, the buildings for industrial or tertiary use built after 1ᵉʳ January 2017 and equipped with an enclosed and covered car park reserved for employees must be pre-equipped with (ducts, cable trays or conduits from the general low-voltage switchboard), or install pre-wiringto accommodate one or more charging points.

Companies whose buildings were constructed before 2012 and which have a car park with more than 20 spaces reserved for their employees must also pre-equip their parking spaces with charging points.

For car parks with fewer than 40 spaces, the company must pre-equip at least 10 % of the parking spaces. For larger car parks, this figure rises to 20 %. In short, the proportion of parking spaces to be pre-equipped varies between 5 % and 10 %, depending on the area in which the company is located.

What size of recharging point should be installed in a company?

To choose the right charging solution for your fleet of company vehicles, you need to consider the power required to meet your needs. That's why it's important to determine the most suitable configuration in advance, which may also include a combination of different power levels for the electric charging points.

For example, for vehicles making rounds and needing to be recharged several times in the company car park, fast charging stations (22 kW or more) are preferable.

However, for vehicles parked overnight on site or at employees' homes, normal charging points (7.4 kW or less) may be sufficient.

For more information, please see our article on installation of recharging points on company premises.

How many spaces should the company provide for employees' electric vehicles?

In addition to renewing their electric fleets, the French law on mobility (LOM) also stipulates that buildings for industrial or tertiary use built after 1ᵉʳ January 2017 and equipped with an enclosed and covered car park reserved for employees must be pre-equipped with (ducts, cable trays or conduits from the general low-voltage switchboard), or install pre-wiringto accommodate one or more charging points.

Companies whose buildings were constructed before 2012 and which have an employee car park with more than 20 spaces must also pre-equip their parking spaces with charging points. For car parks with fewer than 40 spaces, the company must pre-equip at least 10 % of the parking spaces. For larger car parks, this figure rises to 20 %.

All in all, the number of parking spaces to be pre-equipped varies between 5 % and 10 %, depending on the area in which the company is located.

If you would like to know more about this subject, our complete guide to fleets of electric vehicles may be of interest to you.

Conclusion

In short, the choice of charging point best suited to your business depends on a number of criteria, such as the number of electric vehicles and the type of use. That's why it's important to study your needs before subscribing to a particular charging solution.

Don't hesitate to make contact with one of our experts so that they can help you with your charging point project for your company or your employees!
