Conversion premium
You can also benefit from the "prime à la conversion" (conversion bonus) of up to €5,000, depending on your household income. The region has set up the "eco-chèque logement", a grant ranging from €1,000 to €1,500 for energy-saving work in the home. The one we're interested in now is the eco-mobility cheque. This aid, ranging from 50 to 2,000€, serves as a bonus for individuals wishing to acquire an electric vehicle of any kind. The President of the Occitanie region has declared: "The region's priority is to act on the purchasing power of Occitanie's inhabitants, as well as to accompany them towards better mobility".
So, since 2019, you can benefit from aid on the purchase of an electric vehicle of up to €2,000. However, this aid only applies to used electric vehicles. You can also benefit from a €100 subsidy for the purchase of an electric vehicle or bicycle, as well as a €50 subsidy for the acquisition of safety equipment. The region's ambition is to become the first positive-energy region in Europe.
What are the conditions for receiving regional assistance from Occitanie?
Unlike regional subsidies in the Bouches-du-Rhône region, for example, assistance from the Occitanie region is means-tested.

The documents you need to apply for a credit or a LOA/LLD for your electric car:
- A copy of your last three pay slips. If you are retired or self-employed, you will be asked for your last one or two tax notices.
- A copy of your valid identity card or passport.
- Proof of address less than 3 months old. This can be a gas, electricity or telephone bill (even a cell phone bill), a rent receipt or a title deed.
A bank details form (RIB). - A signed and completed cheque for the amount of the first rent on your schedule. Payment of the first rent will only be made upon receipt of the vehicle.

How do you calculate your debt ratio?
The debt ratio must not exceed 33% of net household income. In other words, a banker will only accept your application if you can prove that your fixed expenses do not exceed 33% of your net income.
