Which bollard to install for a transport and logistics company?
Being a transport and logistics company often means having a large fleet of vehicles, often including trucks and vans. Electrically-powered commercial vehicles are the most widely used in logistics, especially today for last-mile deliveries. In fact, the savings in running costs, as well as the possibility of driving in the EPZs, that electric vehicles offer are ideally suited to this type of need.
Electric utility vehicles have batteries very similar to the electric vehicles on the market, but can travel fewer km because of their weight.
They need to be recharged quickly when the vehicle is back in the warehouse. We're therefore moving towards accelerated to fast charging.

ECOTAP Duo Green bollard
The Duo Green terminal delivers 22 kW in mode 3.
It's the perfect terminal for your transport and logistics business. In fact, we've often been asked for it by our previous logistics customers. It has 2 charging points with 22 kW each, so you can charge two vehicles at the same time with a single bollard. It features two sockets: a type 2S socket and an EF socket.
In addition to being a connected charging station, it features an RFID reader for secure access to your charging stations.
In terms of protection, it has a 3.7 mm steel shell, which is anti-corrosion and powder-coated.
It meets IP54 and IK10 standards, which means it's a waterproof bollard that can be installed outdoors. It can withstand a maximum impact of 20 joules, equivalent to a shotgun blast or a small hailstone.

For the transport and logistics sectors, the ADVENIR program offers assistance to finance the installation of charging stations in private parking lots. The rate of assistance is 50% and, depending on the charging capacity chosen, the amount will vary between €2,200 and €15,000 excluding VAT.
Good to know: this bonus applies to the deployment of charging infrastructure of less than 500 kVA.

The number of charging points will be determined by the number of electric vehicles in your fleet and the future development of your fleet.
You'll also need to define your budget. As we mentioned earlier, depending on the charging stations you decide to install, prices will vary. Installing fast charging stations of up to 100 kW is much more expensive than charging stations providing between 7.4 and 22 kW of power.
The price of a charging station depends on a number of factors, including its use, power, installation work and location...
On average, the installation of a charging station generally costs between €1,300 and €5,000 for stations delivering between 7.4 and 22 kW. However, it is difficult to determine a more precise average price, as installation is site-specific and depends on the civil and electrical engineering required.
Fast charging stations (DC) represent a more substantial investment. Not counting the cost of installation, the equipment alone is worth tens of thousands of euros.
You have the option of signing a supervision and maintenance contract, each estimated at an average of €250 (excl. VAT) per year and per terminal. This maintenance contract becomes compulsory in order to benefit from the future bonus.
When you install recharging infrastructure on your premises, you are entitled to state aid. In particular, as a company, you are entitled to the ADVENIR bonus. To be eligible for the ADVENIR bonus, you need to use a certified professional, backed up by a qualified IRVE installer, to install your charging stations.
In addition to ADVENIR aid, if you are from the Grand Est region, the region can provide you with additional assistance.
The region can grant you 50% of the project cost, excluding VAT, up to a limit of €1,000 per charge point. Also, if your installation project is on a public road with associated services, you can benefit from €1,500 per charge point.
This local aid can be combined with ADVENIR aid and the regional scheme for photovoltaic panels.
To apply, you obviously need to be registered with the RCS.
Eligibility also depends on your project:
- Installation of recharging infrastructures obtained by the beneficiaries concerned, up to a limit of 1,000 charging points.
- Only facilities accessible to company employees are eligible. (Charging of the company fleet is accepted if staff can use the charging facilities during working hours).
- Only charging infrastructures that meet the minimum technical requirements of the Advenir national program for employee or company fleet charging stations in private parking lots are eligible for funding.
- Charging infrastructures installed under a concession contract. In this case, the beneficiary of the aid organizes a competitive bidding process for the public service delegation relating to the installation and management of the recharging service for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Depending on the type of bollard, power rating and type of socket, the price of the bollard will vary:
- For a type 2 totem with a power rating of between 3.7 and 22 kW: approx. 2,500 excluding VAT
- For a CHAdeMO or CSS totem with a power rating of between 22.1 and 30 kW: €10,000 excluding VAT
- For a CHAdeMO or CSS totem with a power rating of between 30.1 and 60 kW: approx. €20,000 excluding VAT
- For a CHAdeMO or CSS totem with a maximum power rating of 180 kW: between €32,000 and €49,000 before tax minimum
