Originally SEAT's sports division, the Spanish Cupra brand has become a carmaker in its own right. It made this turn in 2018, having been SEAT's sports division since 1996 when it was announced at the Paris Motor Show. How much does an electric Cupra cost?
In January 2021, Cupra enters the French automotive market with a starting price of €44,500 for the Cupra Born, its first and so far only electric vehicle. Prices do not include the ecological bonus, which amounts to €7,000.
The Cupra Born has a claimed range of 310 km in its 45 kWh version.
If you're looking for a spacious SUV for urban use, Cupra has enough range to take you into town and beyond. It's a family SUV that represents great consistency between quality and price.
What's next for electric Cupras?
SUVs are Cupra's starting point in electric cars. After the success of the Cupra Born in Europe, the Spanish manufacturer is preparing to launch another SUV, the Cupra Tavascan concept car, already presented in 2019.
The Spanish brand's electric SUV has been announced by its boss Wayne Griffiths! He promises that the Cubra Tavascan will go on sale in 2024! Already announced in 2019 as a "concept car", its launch is scheduled for five years later with similar characteristics, including the 306 hp originally planned.

The Cupra is equipped with a Type 2 connector for accelerated AC charging. For fast DC charging, the correct connector is the Combo CCS.
