How will I be helped to buy an electric car in 2024?

The French government has announced a reduction in the amount of the environmental bonus for certain French taxpayers, in particular households in the five highest income deciles. For these taxpayers, this means a reduction in assistance for the purchase of new electric cars, from €5,000 to €4,000.

For less affluent households, on the other hand, the amount of assistance remains unchanged, with the bonus maintained at €7,000. It should be noted that the limit of reference tax income per unit, used as a criterion of distinction, has been adjusted, rising from €14,089 to €15,400.
