On average, the installation of a charging station will cost between €1,300 and €5,000 for stations supplying between 7.4 and 22 kWh of power.

While some sites offer recharge to users, it is possible to charge for recharge to obtain a return on investment. 

There are no predefined rules, but in general, there are two possibilities:

• Time-based invoicing limits the number of "buffer" vehicles that remain connected when they have finished "topping up" their battery.
• kWh billing is recommended to avoid penalizing users whose vehicles recharge more slowly.

If your aim is to encourage your city's residents to switch to electric vehicles, and to greener mobility in general, then we suggest you don't charge for recharging. 

On the other hand, if you're responding to demand from your residents, then we recommend that you charge for recharging, according to an incentive-based price scale.
