As introduced at the very beginning of this article, the charging stations invite themselves to Lidl. However, this is not the first time that Lidl has offered a top-up solution for its customers. On the other hand, offering a recharging power up to 360 kWpower supplied directly by Kallista EnergyThis is a first in France, and one of the most powerful kiosks in the country.

Lidl plans to open this recharging station for end November 2022The charging station will be located in one of the Group's supermarkets in Villefranche-sur-Saône (Rhône), around thirty kilometres from Lyon. The charging station will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that all motorists can take full advantage of the charging points. "It is one of the most powerful off-motorway charging hubs in the south-east."according to Lidl management.
In addition, to give priority to renewable resources, this recharging station is powered in the same way as the one at Fastnedthanks to photovoltaic panelsinstalled on the roof. On this new terminal hub, 13 parking spaces will be reserved for motorists from electric cars and where accelerated, rapid and ultra-rapid charging facilities will be available.

What about the cost of recharging electric cars?
According to the latest news, the tariffs for recharging your electric vehicle are charged per kWh used. Here are the rates:
- on 4 x 22 kW charge points 0.25/kW
- on 8 x 180 kW charge points 0.40/kWh
- on the 360 kW charge point 0.40/kWh
We can see straight away that what Lidl has to offer is literally lower prices than the market. If we compare with our competitors IONITY or the Tesla Superchargerswith recharging prices close to 0.70/kWh.
